Psychotherapist · Dublin · Online
Hi there, I'm Jill.
I'm a psychotherapist based in Dublin & online.
I work with clients navigating a broad range of mental health struggles, and have a specialist interest in working with leaders, managers, founders managing burnout, performance related stress and anxiety.
I like to work in a way that marries both pragmatism and deeper ‘meaning making’ to help you navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and trust in yourself.
I consider being a therapist a dream come true and a great privilege. I'd love to work with you.

Who I work with
For me, the ultimate goal of therapy is to enable discovery, nourishment and expansion of our relationship with ourselves.
Common challenges I work with
I work with adults navigating a wide range of psychological and emotional difficulties, including:
Specialist interest in high performance roles
Alongside this broader work, I have a specialist interest in supporting individuals navigating high levels of responsibility in professional settings, including:
In particular, I bring a depth of experience to work with women in these contexts, where identity, self-trust, and systemic challenges often intersect in complex ways.

Therapy for Founders & Leaders
The higher you progress in an organisation, often, the more isolated you become. Opportunities for sharing mental burdens reduce, connections with colleagues morph into a new kind of dynamic, and the weight of responsibility increases.
AchievementImmunity to Struggle
In reality, the psychological evidence that does exist — and there is surprisingly little of it, which is another story entirely — points to the exact opposite: those we deem ‘high performing’ are, statistically, among the most likely to experience poor mental health.
My work sits in that gap, focusing on the mental and emotional impact of sustained performance and responsibility.

Frequently asked questions.
Where are you based, and do you offer sessions online?+
In person, I see clients from a private consulting room in Dublin 2, just off Merrion Square in the heart of the city centre — a short walk from Pearse Street DART and well served by buses. I also offer sessions online over secure video for anyone who prefers it or lives further afield.
How much does a session cost?+
Individual sessions are €120 each. The first consultation is a free informal 15 minute online consult to understand more about what you're hoping to work on in therapy, and see if we're a good fit before moving forward.
How long and how often are sessions?+
Each session runs for 50 minutes. I meet people either weekly or fortnightly, and have a limited number of slots that I can offer at any time.
What kind of therapy do you offer?+
I'm trained pluralistically, meaning I draw on a number of different therapeutic modalities and tailor my approach to what each person needs. Predominantly I work in a person-centred way, drawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). In practice that means a space grounded in openness and curiosity, where we can explore whatever you're facing without judgement.
Do I need to know what's wrong before reaching out?+
Not at all. Many people arrive simply sensing something isn't right, without the words for it yet. A sentence or two about what's bringing you to therapy is plenty — figuring out the rest is part of the work we'll do together.
Can I claim therapy back on insurance or tax?+
Coverage varies from provider to provider and plan to plan, so it's always worth checking the specifics of your own policy directly with your insurer. When you do, you can share my accreditation details: IACP Psychotherapist Accreditation Number M16474. Separately, you can claim 20% of your therapy costs back from Revenue as tax relief on qualifying health expenses at the end of the year. I'll provide receipts to support any claim.
Is everything we discuss confidential?+
Yes. What you share stays between us, held to professional ethical standards. The only rare exceptions are where there's a serious risk of harm to yourself or others — I'll always talk you through these boundaries at the start.
